1MORE Have taken the audio market by storm in recent times and they are now taking their first tentative steps into the True Wireless Headphone market and today we’re taking a look at their Stylish True Wireless In-Ear Headphones.

1MORE are known for their headphones performing far above their price point, and it seems that the Stylish True Wireless In-Ear Headphones are going to carry on that trend. 1MORE have employed the skills of Grammy award winning sound engineer Luca Bignardi to ensure that their headphones have a fully balanced & precise soundstage.

Featuring support for Fast Charging technology, the Stylish True Wireless In-Ear Headphones can produce 3 hours of playtime on only a 15 minute charge. On this model the charging case also doubles as a battery for the headphones, boasting a capacity of 410 mAh, a full charge on the case is allows 3 full charges of the headphones meaning that in total you get a 24 hour battery life.

The Stylish True Wireless In-Ear Headphones also make use of the Qualcomm AptX Bluetooth Codec, which is optimised for better sound quality and enabled CD like quality wireless audio which should help these headphones excel in the audio department. Packaging & First Look

The front of the box is adorned by a side profile shot of each headphone along with the unique selling points of this particular model.

As 1MORE are launching these headphones globally the USPs on the back of the box are available in multiple different languages to make sure no one is left out.

Opening the flappy door and we get a look at the charging pod as well as the ear phones, on the rear of the flappy door are design drawings of the product.

Removing the contents of the box and the headphones & charging case are held securely in place in a protective foam surround which is nice to see.

We’re also provided a quick start guide, a product catalogue, a 1MORE sticker, and a more in depth user guide as well as a warranty guide.

In the accessories box we’re given a short Micro USB charging cable and a handy carry bag to prevent the charging case from being scratched if you carry it in your pocket or in a bag.

Closer Look

Starting with the back of the case and this is where the micro USB charging port is located, connecting the included cable is a bog standard affair however there is a nice, satisfying click when it’s inserted fully.

The top of the charging pod has the 1MORE logo etched into it and on the lower half there is a charging indicator LED and the button to open the pod.

When the headphones are inserted into the pod the red LED indicates that the headphones are charging.

Here we get the first look at the headphones proper, in this picture the headphones are fitted with the M size earbuds & hooks.

On the rear of each earbud is a control button, which has nice feedback when clicked.

Included in the box are 2 different sizes of ear hooks and 3 different sets, for a total of 4 sets of earbuds.

Performance Testing

The first thing we did when taking the 1MORE Stylish True Wireless In-Ears Out of their packaging was to plug in the charging case with the included Micro-USB cable and make sure that the headphones had a full charge, the charging case is around the size of a kinder egg toy capsule or a small egg and is well made, it closes with a satisfying click however the spring loaded lid is almost too easy to open with the button requiring very little force.

A small red LED on the front of the case shows when the charging is taking place however we would like to have seen a way to tell how much battery life was in the case, either by a set of 3 LED’s or alternatively the light could have flashed, once for low, 2 flashes for medium and 3 flashes for high levels of charge, we hope this is included in the next release.

The headphones themselves are held in the charging case by magnets and even when turning the case upside down they do not disconnect or stop charging, we were very appreciative of this when we were charging the headphones with a portable battery pack in a backpack.

During our time with the 1MORE Stylish True Wireless In-Ear Headphones we’ve put them through their paces in a multitude of situations, we’ve utilised them on public transport as well during exercise which included jogging & riding a bicycle, no matter what activity were doing the headphones never became loose or fell out, this is aided by the various size of wing & ear tips that 1MORE have included as standard.

1MORE have decided to utilise a button on each ear bud as controls rather than touch controls and it has to be said we greatly prefer the buttons, a single click on either ear bud plays or pauses the current music track, a double click skips forward and a triple click skips back a track. There’s also the option of using the buttons to answer a call via a single click of the right ear bud button, or if you can’t take the call you can decline it with a press & hold. We found these features great while out on the bike as we didn’t have to take our phones out of pockets and could just use the buttons to jump about our playlist. The Stylish True Wireless In-Ears also support voice assistants such as Siri, Bixby & Google assistant, you can double click the left ear bud when there is no audio playback from a video or song and this will wake up the AI, you can also use your voice to activate the AI when music is playing if needed.

We put the headphones through their paces with multiple genres of bands to ensure we were covering most bases. These headphones sound great whether you’re listening to Death Metal like Gojira or to the more electronic dance based Infected Mushroom and no matter what situation you’re in either in the house, on public transport or exercising, these headphones perform superbly.

The headphones have utilised MEMS microphones along side environmental noise cancellation by means of DSP technology to help ensure that when you’re on a call you can be heard by the person trying to speak to you. We put this to the test by using the headphones on noisy public transport and the person I was calling had no issue hearing me at all and the sound quality was okay considering the microphone is tiny and located in the ear bud.

Conclusion

One of the main things that set 1More’s Stylish True Wireless In-Ear Headphones apart from the likes of it’s competitors such as Apple’s AirPods & Samsungs Galaxy Buds is it’s prolonged battery life, coming in at 6 ½ hours continuous use, this is with the caveat of only using them at 50% volume however in use we found that 50% was usually enough volume for our tastes.

While it will always be the case that in-ear headphones will never have better sound quality than a pair of over ears, the audio quality of the Stylish True Wireless In-Ear Headphones goes above and beyond other models, and at a cheaper price than most. The soundstage has been well and truly knocked out of the park here, the bass frequencies cut through the middle and treble frequencies like a hot knife through butter without making the mix muddy and the highs are great too, 1MORE have achieved a great balance here.

Pairing the headphones was very easy and pain free, the step-by-step guide that 1MORE have provided is extremely easy to follow and we had no issues at all, once you’ve made the initial manual connection the headphones automatically disconnect when placed in the charging pod, and they connect almost instantly when they are removed, to give you a rough idea of how quick they are, by the time we had taken them out of the case and in our ears they had already connected were ready to play music.

The only cons that came up in use is the fact that the charging port is a Micro USB & there isn’t wireless charging which is seen on the Samsung Galaxy Buds. We did ask our contact at 1MORE and they confirmed for us that there will be a flagship model which will feature many added features & new technology including USB type C connectivity as well as wireless charging.

The feature set and build quality that 1MORE have crammed into these True Wireless headphones in this price range means it is more than deserving of our Amazing Value award, and we wait with baited breath for the flagship model coming in September.
