The much anticipated AT HD 4870 X2 card has finally reached the stores. It comes with a whopping 2GB of GDDR5 memory. This card is set to destroy the GTX 280 sales allowing ATI to take the top spot in the GPU market.
ATI have already taken NVidia by storm with their single core HD 4870 cards which match the performance of the GTX 260 but come at a much lower price. The next few weeks will be nail biting for NVidia.
There are already reviews on the HD 4870 X2 on the web – some showing the card in crossfire mode (that’s 4 cores!) and the performance benchmarks are mind blowing.
