There have been many rumours circulating recently about a dual-GPU AMD card based on the 28 nm “Hawaii” architecture. Dutch tech site BouweenPC got an exclusive look at the card at CeBit which is being branded as the Radeon R9 295X2. The card combines the R9 290 and the R9 290x into one card which is expected to have a core clock speed of 1 Ghz.
This is not the 295X2 but it could look similar given the hybrid cooling solution proposed.
The card is also set feature a hybrid liquid+air cooler with air cooled heatsinks for the memory and VRM. The liquid cooling will come from 2 blocks that dissipate heat from the GPUs. This may provide better cooling it also makes it a more difficult card to install as you will need to mount the 120 mm radiator. A similar cooling solution was available on the ASUS ARES II (pictured above). While there are no official pictures (all the information was gained from official slides at CeBit) it is expected to be released soon and will more than likely be expensive.
