PRESS RELEASEPC peripherals (and more) manufacturer Genesis returns this week with the release of the Boron 500 XXL RGB Logo, a new oversized variant of the Boron mousemat. This updated design covers a 800mm x 400mm area, putting it firmly in the ‘deskmat’ class that sits under both keyboard and mouse, and incorporates a low-friction ‘speed’ surface treatment for silky smooth movement and fast reaction speeds.
The pad is backed (in a literal sense) by a rubber anti-slip layer that secures it from migrating around the desk through vigorous keyboard/mouse movement. The top surface has a black finish with embroidered Genesis logo positioned discretely, allowing for a wide and unobstructed mousing area.
Its edging style will be familiar to many who have kept abreast with RGB mouse-mat designs. RGB LEDs are placed discretely along a plastic conduit which serves to diffuse lighting through it, and its integrated controller allows for up to 12 seamless illumination modes without the use of software. Power is supplied via a USB port on the control module.
Users may wish to pair this mat with a tenkeyless or (preferably) 65% keyboard to ensure maximum real-estate for mousing.
The new pad will be available in stores for an anticipated MSRP of €18.99 (inc. V.A.T)/ $19.99 (excl Tax). More information is available on the product page.
