Hot on the heels of the Rampage III Extreme and Rampage III GENE, ROG has a new option for X58 performance seekers – the brand new Rampage III Formula motherboard, which comes with all the bells and whistles you expect from a top notch gaming and overclocking board.
The Formula series is so called because it delivers a balance of gaming-related features at a superior value. So you get X58 support, that means some of the fastest CPUs on the market. Then there’s the GameFirst bandwidth mutlitasker we’ve seen in previous ASUS boards, which lets users download stuff in the background without causing lag or latency in online gaming.
The Rampage III Formula also ships with Intel Ethernet hardware acceleration, so the CPU doesn’t have to get involved in high speed internet connection calculations and backend work, which relieves loading and makes both the connection and other tasks execute more efficiently.
