ASUS announces the availability of the ROG Strix XG49VQ Monitor super ultra-wide HDR gaming monitor and introduces the new ASUS ProArt PA34VC Professional Curved Monitor.
The ASUS ROG Strix XG49VQ Monitor super ultra-wide HDR gaming monitor is now available at partner resellers worldwide, pre-orders available at Overclockers UK. The ROG Strix XG49VQ was first seen at the Incredible Intelligence 2018 Asia-Pacific region launch event at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is a 49-inch super ultra-wide HDR gaming monitor with 144Hz native refresh rate. It also features the Radeon FreeSync 2 HDR technology. On the other hand, ASUS introduces the new ASUS ProArt PA34VC Professional Curved Monitor. The ASUS ProArt PA34VC features a factory pre-calibrated 100%sRGB colour gamut coverage for its UWQHD 3440 x 1440 IPS panel which also comes with the HDR 10 VESA Certified standard.
ASUS ROG Strix XG49VQ Monitor
The ROG Strix XG49VQ’s stunning 49-inch display sports a 1800R curvature with a 32:9 aspect ratio and 3940×1080 maximum resolution. The ROG Strix XG49VQ also offers an ultrafast up to 144Hz refresh rate for smooth gaming visuals. The monitor also features a custom-created backlighting technology that incorporates additional LEDs and a proprietary light-guide film to increase luminosity by over 10% ensures for a typical brightness of 450 cd/m2. Furthermore, the ROG Strix XG49VQ passes DisplayHDR 400 certification delivering 10-bit colour depth. The monitor also packs the exclusive ASUS Shadow Boost technology and ASUS GamePlus Hotkey Technology.
ASUS ProArt PA34VC Monitor
The ASUS ProArtTM PA34VC is an ultrawide 34.1-inch HDR-10 monitor with a 21:9 aspect ratio and 1900R curvature for a large field of view and increased viewing comfort. It also comes with a factory pre-calibrated 100% sRGB colour gamut coverage and the ASUS ProArt Calibration Technology. It comes with two Thunderbolt 3 USB-C ports, DisplayPort, USB 3.1 Type-A port with 60W of power delivery for charging mobile devices. ASUS ProArt is also compatible with major hardware calibrators such as X-Rite i1 Display Pro and Datacolor Spyder 5 series.

The ASUS ROG Strix XG49VQ Monitor will be available from March 2019 with MSRP of £999, pre-orders are available at Overclockers UK and Amazon UK. The ASUS ProArt PA34VC Professional Curved Monitor will be available from April 2019 with MSRP of £1,049 from Amazon UK, Scan UK, and eBuyer.
