This week NVIDIA announced their next lineup of cards to join the RTX 50 Series, the RTX 5060 and RTX 5060 Ti. The RTX 5060 comes equipped with 8GB of cutting-edge GDDR7 memory, next-gen Blackwell shader cores delivering up to 19 teraflops of processing power, 5th-generation tensor cores capable of reaching 614 AI TOPS, and 4th-gen ray tracing cores that push up to 58 teraflops. It also packs 3,840 CUDA cores — a notable upgrade from the RTX 4060, which featured 3,072 CUDA cores and 8GB of GDDR6 VRAM.
The RTX 5060 Ti takes things a step further, boasting 4,608 CUDA cores and offering configurations with either 8GB or 16GB of GDDR7 memory. NVIDIA claims the enhanced Blackwell cores in the Ti model provide an additional 6 teraflops of raw power over the base 5060, which should translate to a meaningful performance boost in real-world gaming. While the 5060 is largely aimed at smooth 1080p experiences, the 5060 Ti comfortably targets 1440p gaming—provided you’re not chasing ultra-high frame rates.
Today we’ll be focussing our attention on the RTX 5060 Ti by way of the Colorful NB EX.

Closer Look
NB EX arrives in a rather simple looking box, which features the basic specifications. Inside, there are no bundled accessories apart from a cable tie.
Our card is again, very simple in its styling and design, the shroud has sharp edges and adopts two-tone colour with black and red. With dimensions being 301.4 x 120 x 50mm, this card will easily fit into most computer cases.
NB EX uses a triple fan cooler which feature a 9-blade design. The middle fan spinning anti-clockwise, while the two outer fans spinning clockwise to reduce turbulence. The heatsink underneath uses a direct-contact copper plate and twin heatsinks.
The backside of our card features a metal backplate with two cut-outs for ventilation and cooling.
This card features a single 8-pin PCI Express connector and has a recommended wattage of 600W. On this edge of the card we also have LED lighting which is very basic – the text simply emits a red glow.
On the rear IO panel there are a total of four video outputs – 3x DisplayPort 2.1a and 1x HDMI 2.1b. So if you need additional display support, it will have to come by way of DP.
NB EX features no factory overclock and as such sits at the stock frequencies, having a base clock of 2407MHz and a boost of 2572MHz.
Test Setup & Methodology
HOW WE TEST GRAPHICS CARDS
Testing a graphics card is an extremely lengthy process. We sometimes see reviews where a graphics card has been tested using out of date equipment, out of date games and even out of date drivers. While the latter can be excused due to the sheer amount of driver updates making a thorough review impossible we will however notify the reader when we have used a different driver to the normal for example a pre-release driver. For the most part however we will always use the same hardware and latest drivers so this does certainly need to be taken into consideration when viewing our testing results. Each game and benchmark is tested times with the lowest and highest scores omitted out of the 5 results and the average then taken from the three remaining to give us our final result for each resolution and setting used.HARDWARE
In Q1 2025 we decided to upgrade our test system to the very latest AMD X870E platform with the renowned AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D – currently regarded as one of the best gaming CPUs to date. Let’s see how today’s graphics card performed…
Power, Temperatures, Acoustics
To test for power consumption, we take a measurement from the plug socket. It is important to note that the figures below represent total system power use and not just the GPU. The CPU was always in a fixed state so did not affect the additional power load when the GPU was placed under 100% load using AIDA64 stability test (GPU Only) which was ran for 20 minutes at which point a load reading was taken. Idle readings were taken 5 minutes after system boot to ensure any background services and applications had loaded.
TEMPERATURE
To test temperatures we measured idle temperatures after booting windows, letting all applications finish loading and ran a few benchmarks. Once the benchmarks were complete we left the card to reach a cooling plateau where we then took the idle temperatures. For the load tests we use GPU-Z and have this running throughout all of our benchmarks, and then report back on the maximum temperatures at the end of this exhaustive session.ACOUSTICS
For the purpose of testing audio levels we have the NDI KC-3300 sound level meter. During the temperature recording above, while in Black Myth Wukong benchmark we monitored the audio and the results are found below. Silent Hill 2 Remake

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is a 2024 action-adventure game developed by MachineGames and published by Bethesda Softworks. It is based on the Indiana Jones franchise and features an original narrative that draws from the film series.
Black Myth: Wukong
Black Myth: Wukong is a 2024 action role-playing game developed and published by Game Science. The game is inspired by the classical Chinese novel Journey to the West.

Tekken 8 is a 2024 fighting game developed by Bandai Namco Studios and Arika and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. It is the eighth main installment in the Tekken series and the first one to debut on home systems instead of arcades.
Horizon Forbidden West
Horizon Forbidden West is a 2022 action role-playing game developed by Guerrilla Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment.
Conclusion
The RTX 5060 Ti makes a strong case for itself as a mid-range GPU that balances performance, efficiency, and thermal management remarkably well. Drawing under 300 watts of power, it’s a far cry from the more power-hungry options on the market, allowing it to run cooler and more efficiently, even during intense workloads. One of the most standout features of this Colorful RTX 5060 Ti we have reviewed today is how quietly it operates. Even under load, the card remains whisper quiet, maintaining low fan noise levels that are barely noticeable in a typical gaming setup. This makes it a great fit for gamers or creators working in quiet environments or those building small form factor PCs where noise is often a concern.
Thermally, the RTX 5060 Ti impresses across the board. Of all the GPUs tested, it recorded the lowest VRAM temperatures, and its GPU core temps are among the coolest compared to both current-gen and previous-gen cards. This level of thermal efficiency not only improves longevity but also ensures consistent performance during extended gaming sessions or high-intensity creative tasks.
In terms of performance, the RTX 5060 Ti delivers respectable 1440p gameplay and outperforms its predecessor, the RTX 4060 Ti, by a noticeable margin. While it’s not built for 4K gaming—where it struggles to maintain playable frame rates—it handles 1080p with ease and excels in that resolution. For gamers who prioritize high-quality visuals at 1080p or moderate settings at 1440p, it offers a well-balanced experience.
