Cyberpower PC are a system integrator originally founded in the United States but have since expanded to cover multiple countries, they produce PCs to match any budget, from off-the-shelf units to full custom builds.
Today we’re looking at something rather special, rocking a pricetag of £4000 in the UK, so you know you’re going to be getting some serious performance. The Infinity X129 TI D5 is a no-expense-spared gaming machine that should handle just about any task you can imagine, and then some.
Sporting an Intel Core i9-12900KF with 16 cores (8 Performance and 8 efficiency) that can clock up to 5.2GHz under full load, with an EK hardcore kit rigid tubing watercooling system to keep temperatures in check. Paired to the incredibly capable Intel processor is 32GB of CORSAIR Vengeance DDR5 memory at 4800MHz.
Providing the graphical horsepower is NVIDIA’s flagship GPU, the GEFORCE MSI RTX 3090 Ti, with 10,752 CUDA Cores clocking in at 1860MHz and 24GB of GDDR6X memory on a 384-bit bus width, offering the pinnacle of GPU performance right now.
Cyberpower have opted to use a custom chassis, named the Y60 Panoramic Gaming Case, with a rather eye-catching design that will certainly show off the internal components to your friends.
Rounding out the rest of the system specifications is an MSI MAG Z690 Tomahawk motherboard, a 2TB Kingston NVMe drive with 7300MB/s and 7000MB/s read and write speeds, respectively. We also get an MSI MPG 80+ Gold certified 850W power supply to ensure the system gets plenty of juice.
This Cyberpower system comes with a 5 year warranty on the labour and 2 years on the parts with a collect and return system in place. You will also receive lifetime technical support, if you ever get stuck with system settings or encounter problems.

Packaging & Bundle
The system arrived on a wooden pallet, a full-size wooden pallet delivered by a specialist pallet firm, with ample foam, wrapping and strapping used to make sure the system got to us in tip-top condition. Unfortunately, it was a bit too large to get into our photography area to grab any photos.After CyberPower are finished putting your system together, they box it back up in the original packaging. The case manufacturer knows the exact specifications of the chassis, so why try to produce something that will almost certainly be inferior? Rely on the original protection.
The inside of the PC has been shoved full of the self-forming foam packets to ensure nothing shifts, snaps or moves during transit.
In terms of a bundle, you don’t really get much included, but there’s not much you need either, in fairness.
Closer Look
The Infinity X129 Ti D5 gaming system arrives in a custom Cyberpower chassis with a rather fancy wrap-around see-through structure, showing off the tubing, LED fans and that rather expensive graphics card you’ve spent your hard-earned on.
On the front corner of the chassis is a 3.5mm headphone jack, two USB Type-A ports, a Type-C USB port and a power button.
Thanks to MSI’s reluctance to skimp on the rear IO of their motherboards, we get a very decent selection of connections. Starting from the top, we have:

The GPU is positioned sideways, for aesthetics more than anything else, but you can see the ports at the bottom left. There are 3x DisplayPort and a single HDMI connection.
Closer Look (Internals)
If we remove the plastic panel we can start to peek around inside the case, and let me just say, Cyberpower have gone to lengths here, keeping things neat and tidy.
If we start at the top and work our way down, you can see that there are 2x 8-pin CPU power connectors in the top-left, offering many watts of power for that Intel 12900KF, ensuring it has overclocking headroom (if you wish) or the ability to keep things nice and quiet while operating inside the usual frequencies. The EK Velocity 2 waterblock looks absolutely fantastic sat on top of the processor, with the hardlined tubing running over to the rest of the system.
Strapped alongside the CPU is 32GB, in 2x 16GB DIMMs, of CORSAIR’s Vengeance DDR5 memory, clocked in at 4800MHz to give you ample speed and plenty of storage for the latest games and whatever task you care to throw at it. Two DIMM slots remain unpopulated if you wish to upgrade this to 64GB for even more demanding tasks, thought 32GB is more than enough for almost anything you can throw at it.
Tucked away behind the built-in NVMe heatsink is a 2TB Kingston Fury Renegade M.2 drive, promising read and write speeds of up to 7,300MB/s and 7,000MB/s; with speeds like that you can guarantee quick loading times, and thanks to 2TB of capacity, you won’t be filling it up in a hurry either.
Obviously, with the GPU mounted in a vertical orientation to show off that beautiful triple-fan cooler, there needs to be a ribbon cable connecting it to the PCI-Express port on the motherboard, usually this is just plugged in and the ugliness is dealt with by the user, but not this time. The chassis comes with a very stylish PCI-E shield to cover up the ribbon cable, it’s also shaped like the case in which it sits, for a bit of design symmetry. It’s little finishing touches like this that really set a machine off.
At the front of the chassis is a beautiful transparent reservoir for the cooling system, with the clear panels of the case this is on full display for all to see.
Benchmarks: Temperatures & Boot Time
In our first test we observe the max. CPU/GPU temperatures of the system while allowing Unigine Heaven 4.0 to run on a 30-minute loop with default system fan profile. Idle temperatures were read 10 minutes later, indicating how well the system exhausted latent heat. To report back on the temperatures we used Core Temp readings and GPU-Z.
As you can see, the custom watercooling loop has served its purpose here, keeping the Intel CPU’s temperatures in check without breaking a sweat. The enormous cooler on the MSI RTX 3090Ti is also doing exactly what it’s supposed to. No complaints on the temperatures front.
Windows 11 Boot Time
Thanks to the immense throughput in the Gen. 4 Kingston SSD, we get a fantastically quick boot time.
Benchmarks: Cinebench R20, R23 & 7-Zip
Maxon’s Cinebench is a real-world cross-platform test suite that evaluates your computer’s hardware capabilities. Improvements to Cinebench Release 20 reflected the overall advancements to CPU and rendering technology in recent years, providing a more accurate measurement of Cinema 4D’s ability to take advantage of multiple CPU cores and modern processor features available to the average user.In October 2020 Maxon launched Cinebench R23. This release formulated an updated test that defined a notational runtime of 10 minutes for both single and multicore tests, minimising the impact of initial performance spikes caused by a high Turbo/Boost clock at the start. The scores generated are not directly comparable to the R20 results, but we’ve included them here for reference.
With this being one of the most powerful processors produced to date, at least in the consumer space, we expected a high score here – it delivered.
Cinebench R23 tests the system in a very similar way, but is further optimised to handle more powerful, more modern processors, giving the 12900KF a chance to properly stretch its legs and show off all of that processing might.

7-Zip is open-source software which unpacks compressed (zipped) files. It also features a benchmark which measures your systems ability to unpack files, typically stressing CPU and memory performance.
The 7-zip test benefits heavily from multiple threads and high clock speeds, which this processor has in spades, therefore the results are very impressive, as expected.

A PC Mark score is a very good way of determining overall system performance, when comparing one system to another. The Infinity X129 Ti D5 is a monster of a system with very little in the way of bottlenecks, this is represented within the score shown here.

3DMark Time Spy by UL is a DirectX 12 benchmark test for gaming PCs running Windows 10. With its pure DirectX 12 engine, built from the ground up to support new API features like asynchronous compute, explicit multi-adapter, and multi-threading, Time Spy is the ideal benchmark for testing the DirectX 12 performance of the latest graphics cards.
The Infinity X129 Ti D5 really showed off here, where most systems struggle to maintain a smooth output on the test, the 3090 Ti absolutely breezed it.

Unigine’s Heaven 4.0 utility is a performance and stability test for PC hardware: video card, power supply, cooling system. Check your rig in stock and overclocking modes with real-life load! Also includes interactive experience in a beautiful, detailed environment.
While relying on a DirectX 11 API renderer rather than more modern DX12 framework, Heaven 4.0 and DX11 performance is still a relevant metric today.
Unigine Heaven has been around for ages now, but it’s a good benchmark that allows readers to compare stats to current hardware, since it can be ran on just about any hardware. The score here is very good, proving the system is capable of handling just about whatever you want to throw at it.

Conclusion
Undoubtedly one of the highest-spec machines we’ve had through the doors at Vortez, but does it warrant that £3999 price tag? We think it does, on the whole, and we’ll conclude our reasons why now.First off, if you’re looking for outright performance from all angles, you’ll struggle to beat the X129 Ti D5, the Intel 12900KF processor absolutely munches through tasks, with the 32GB 4800MHz DDR5 memory helping things along nicely. Every test we threw at it was handled without any hassle, with some of the best results we’ve seen. So if it’s video editing, photo tweaking, code compiling, simulations, whatever you want, you’ll be fine with this.
Gaming performance is also spectacular, all the way up to 2160p, even with graphics settings cranked right up. The 3090Ti, as you’d expect, really does come into its own when supplied with a partner like the 12900KF and 32GB of DDR5 memory, and thanks to the blistering speeds from the Kingston NVMe drive, you won’t be waiting long for games to load up either.
The case is set up to look fantastic, with the custom hard tubing, wrap-around clear panels right around the chassis, masses of ventilation on the top and a beautifully bright white colour-scheme. Time and effort has been spent on routing the watercooling system for the best aesthetics while maintaining top-tier cooling performance, which is provided without ever becoming noisy.
Now, the review is going to appear a bit too one-sided if we keep up with the praise, so here’s the couple of negatives that we found. The first of which being the lack of storage capacity; 2GB isn’t really enough for a machine of this cost, a decent size HDD could’ve been included for large-scale game backups or for video and photo storage, or even a SATA-based SSD.
The other downside, and this one really was a bit of a let-down, is the lack of watercooling on the GPU. Cyberpower have gone to great lengths to pipe up the CPU to a large radiator and powerful pump/reservoir, watercooling the GPU, particularly something like a 3090Ti, seems like the logical next step that would really have finished the build off nicely.

The Infinity X129 Ti D5 is, by all accounts, a beast of a system. If you need a do-it-all computer, to be used for business and/or pleasure, we can’t see any reason not to go for this.
