Mad Catz announces sale of its TRITTON Gaming Audio brand to Silkysea International Limited.
Earlier this year, Mad Catz rose from imminent bankruptcy and announced its return during CES 2018. Along with the announcement, Mad Catz teased its upcoming products which are the brand’s next-generation peripherals carrying the R.A.T., S.T.R.I.K.E., and F.R.E.Q. names which have been Mad Catz’ signature mouse, keyboard, and headset. Today, Mad Catz announces the sale of its TRITTON Gaming Audio brand to Silkysea International Limited.
Mad Catz sold its assets under the TRITTON brand included specified trademarks valid in China, Hong Kong, Russia and the United States. The sell-off of the TRITTON brand is part of the new management’s move to revive the brand as it moves forward to releasing its first line of Mad Catz products under the new management formed in January 2018. As for Silkysea International Limited, its a Hong-Kong based company established in 2016 with no history as of this writing. The TRITTON brand may be the company’s first product line it will manage.
