noblechairs have received ample awards and merits from the reviewers all over the internet, praised for their comfort, ergonomics and appearance, but until now, we were all using toolboxes and piles of pillows to rest our feet on during those long Fortnite sessions. Well today that’s no more, with the noblechairs Footrest.
The styling matches the chairs perfectly, with the diamond-shape stitching and PU leather. The Footrest is also available with real leather and the associated design to go with it.
The Footrest is adjustable and looks smart, but does it actually increase your comfort or improve posture? Read on to find out.

Packaging & Included Parts
The box provides perfectly adequate packaging for the footrest, and while it weighs only 6kg, it’s much easier to cart about than the boxes the chairs arrive in!
Starting off with the base. We’ve flipped it over for the image to show the strength of the single piece, with plastic feet already attached. Unlike the chairs, which use a 5-prong base, they’ve chosen to use only 4 feet on the footrest.
The footrest and stem arrive preassembled, making the procedure of putting this together take the grand total of about five minutes. There’s a single bolt to tighten up and you’re done.
The stitching on top of the footrest follows the same design as the PU Leather noblechairs, with a Real Leather option also being available which matches the Real Leather noblechairs.
To give the footrest a final touch of style, one of the feet has a noblechairs badge attached, featuring real carbon fibre; this is likely so they don’t need to place any branding on top of the footrest area which could hinder comfort.
Finished Look & Comfort Testing
Finished LookThe Footrest stands at around 440mm tall on a solid surface but with the feet being around 12mm tall, the footrest can sink up to 15mm in a deep carpet. The four-prong base gives it excellent stability, regardless of surface.
At its most extreme angle, with up to 57° of adjustment, the top of the Footrest is closer to vertical than horizontal.
The adjustment is handled by a small handle on the underside, with 27 separate settings in-between (around 2° per “click”).
Comfort Testing
First things first, we’ve always been impressed by the noblechairs range, with all three of the chairs we’ve tested so far. However, the Footrest has most certainly improved that experience, especially for long hours sat gaming or typing.
The adjustable angle on the top allows you to find a comfortable angle whether you wish to sit up straight or with the rear of the chair reclined, and because it’s easy to adjust with 27 increments of around 2°, it’s easy to find a comfortable position.
Conclusion
We’ve used the Footrest for about a month now and we’re very impressed, on the whole.The stitching and quality of the PU leather is exactly what we’d expect from a noblechairs product, with their usual style applied to the top and base. The style matches their chairs perfectly.
We found that we sat upright more often, leaning into the back of the chair and making full contact with our spine. The footrest, due to its soft padding, didn’t cause any discomfort on the back of the legs/feet when used for a long time.
The adjustment of 57° is great, giving you plenty of options as to how you’d like to set it up, but some height adjustment should really be included. Of course, the design of the base and stem would have to be changed fundamentally, but for £110/$120/$175 for the PU version, and approaching 40% more than that for real leather, we feel as though it’s an omission that should have been implemented; the height of the noblechairs can be adjusted by around 100mm, so the Footrest should match that.
Lastly, there’s the price. At £110 in the UK, the price is a little too steep for us. Sure, it’s a very elegant solution to the problem and it’ll suit most setups very well, but for us, we’d like to see £20-£30 shaved off that price.
If you already own a noblechairs and find yourself wishing you had somewhere to put your feet, splashing out on this Footrest won’t leave you disappointed, provided you can stomach the initial outlay.
