04/01/2015- Thecus today announced that they will begin offering users an upgraded version of the Windows Storage Server 2012 R2 Essentials NAS that will come equipped with 4 GB of DDR3 RAM. The Windows-based NAS are also outfitted with an embedded SSD/SSHD which houses the software.

The upgrade will be available for all three models in the WSSE series (W2000+, W4000+, and W5000+). The upgraded RAM will further allow users to enjoy the feature-rich WSSE operating system with improved efficiency and performance.
Availability: The WSSE PLUS Edition will begin shipping globally in April 2015.
