Some of DICE’s upcoming Frostbite 2-powered games will require a 64-bit OS
The Frostbite 2 Engine is one of the best engines out today. DICE has announced that they will have Frostbite 2 games in 2013 that will only run on 64 bit operating systems. This is a great step in the right direction with RAM being so cheap it is now easy to see systems with 4GB+ of ram which can only be fully utilized on a 64bit machine. Hopefully as a result we will see more games also properly utilizing multi-core processors.
This also begs another question. What game (or games) have DICE got planned for 2013?
