ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has opened pre-orders for the ROG XBOX Ally X20, a special-edition gaming handheld created to celebrate ROG’s 20th anniversary. Featuring a translucent black chassis with gold-accented internals, the XBOX Ally X20 combines a 7.4-inch OLED display with AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processing and an upgraded cooling system.
The ROG XBOX Ally X20 is available as a standalone device for US$1,299 or as part of a US$2,499 bundle that includes the ROG XREAL R1 Edition 20 Gaming AR Glasses, a dbrand Killswitch case, a custom Pelican Protector Case and a 68W charger. Both configurations are available for pre-order now, with retail availability scheduled for October 15.
ROG XBOX Ally X20
The XBOX Ally X20 features a translucent black chassis that reveals its gold-accented internal structure and upgraded cooling hardware. The design was created specifically to mark 20 years of ROG, which was established in 2006. At the centre of the handheld is ROG’s new Nebula HDR Display, featuring a 7.4-inch OLED panel designed to deliver high-contrast visuals. The system is powered by the AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor, providing the performance needed for modern PC gaming in a handheld form factor.
ROG XREAL R1 Edition 20 Gaming AR Glasses
The ROG XREAL R1 Edition 20 Gaming AR Glasses are also available separately and feature a 240Hz micro-OLED display with a 57° field of view, 0.01ms response time and a virtual 171-inch screen when viewed from four metres away.
The glasses also feature audio by BOSE, native 3DoF tracking and Anchor Mode, which keeps the virtual display fixed in place while gaming. They connect directly to the XBOX Ally X20 using a single USB Type-C cable.
The Ultimate Bundle
The US$2,499 ROG XBOX Ally X20 Bundle combines the handheld with the ROG XREAL R1 Edition 20 Gaming AR Glasses and several accessories.
The included dbrand Killswitch case features ruggedised grips, a kickstand, gold-and-black 20th anniversary accents, a custom circuit-board-pattern skin and ROG-branded joystick covers. A custom Pelican Protector Case with red ROG latches and a 20th anniversary badge provides additional protection for transporting the handheld and accessories. The bundle also includes a 68W charger for powering the handheld while gaming on the go.
