Singularity Computers has entered the Hi-Fi audio market with Singularity Computers Audio, introducing the Gladius stereo amplifier as its first product. Developed in collaboration with Clayton Boards, Gladius combines a dual-mono design with high-current amplification and separate industrial power supplies for each channel.
The Gladius uses Clayton Boards’ Blade amplifier modules featuring Texas Instruments’ TPA3223 high-fidelity Class-D chip. Singularity Computers has focused the design on low impedance, current delivery, phase coherence and sound quality, with the amplifier offering up to 100W RMS per channel at 4 Ohms.
Dual-Mono Amplifier Design
Gladius uses a dual-mono configuration with independent amplification and power delivery for the left and right channels. Each channel is powered by a dedicated 150W Delta PMT2 industrial power supply, allowing the amplifier to deliver current quickly to connected speakers while maintaining channel separation.

Clayton Boards Blade Modules
The Gladius uses a custom implementation of Clayton Boards’ Blade amplifier module, built around Texas Instruments’ TPA3223 high-fidelity integrated Class-D chip. The module features separate voltage-stabilised 5V rails and a 6-layer precision PCB using 2oz copper and gold plating.
The design also incorporates multi-layer shielding across the signal and power paths, along with a compact layout and high-current, non-ferrous connectors.
Selected Components And Construction
Singularity Computers has selected components including Switchcraft gold-plated RCA connectors, an Alps Alpine volume potentiometer, a silver-plated Omron signal relay and JB Capacitors JFGC polypropylene input capacitors.
The amplifier is housed in a 3mm 5052 aluminium enclosure with a sand-blasted and anodised silver finish. The front panel features touch controls for input selection, mute and power, alongside a clipping warning light and a solid CNC-machined aluminium volume knob.

Sound-Focused Design
Gladius is designed around an ultra-low impedance topology intended to maximise current delivery to connected speakers. Singularity Computers has also prioritised phase coherence, particularly in the sub-bass and high-frequency regions, with the design placing sound quality ahead of aesthetics.
The amplifier accepts two 2V RMS line-level inputs and includes A-B input selection and mute controls. Singularity Computers recommends pairing Gladius with a quality DAC that includes a remote control and can operate as a pre-amplifier for volume adjustment.
